Hackers aren’t known for their comedy chops. That much became obvious Tuesday, when one got into the NFL’s official Twitter account and tried to convince people that commissioner Roger Goodell had died.
First of all, everyone should have learned when they were 6 that the “someone’s dead” jokes are never funny. And after, what, a gazillion celebrity death hoaxes on the Internet, no one is falling for them anymore.
We certainly don’t condone computer hacking, but at the same time, we’d like to think if we ever did find ourselves at the controls of the NFL’s Twitter account, we’d have more fun with it than the Tuesday’s unoriginal hacker did.
