Over 50 hacking incidents related queries have been received in a month post the demonetisation, according to TAC Security, a cyber security solutions provider.
TAC-CERT (Cyber Emergency Response Team) a specialized designed service received more than 50 hacking incidents related queries, the company claimed in a statement.
Hacking related queries included a total of 7 DDoS attacks, 12 email hacks, 24 ransomware attacks, 4 financial frauds via emails and 6 website hacking of companies across verticals such as export, pharmaceutical, IT, manufacturing of electrical manufacturing and healthcare.
The hospital suffered a data breach, export companies encountered ransomware and financial loss while IT companies faced DDoS attacks, TAC–CERT found in its investigation report, the statement said.
“This shows how vulnerable we are. The risks are not confined to banks or financial institutions but rather every industry and domains that you can think of,” said Trishneet Arora, CEO, TAC Security.
Arora cited that even IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad had ordered a review for the entire IT infrastructure of India to help organizations reduce the risk of hacking and loss.
Company launched its TAC-CERT (Cyber Emergency Response Team) service in early this year.
