AFGE and TSA nearing first contract

The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) said it is “close” to reaching the first collective bargaining agreement covering the Transportation Security Administration’s 45,000 Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) nationwide.
“Following marathon negotiations, AFGE and TSA are close to a historic labor contract,” said AFGE National President John Gage in a statement on July 22. Talks will continue in the coming week, according to AFGE officials.
