Cisco Network Engineer
Details: Job Classification: Contract We are currently working with a current client, a well know integrator, to identify and hire a network engineer for one of their commercial customers. This is a contract position with the strong possibility of transitioning into a full time role. Client is looking for an experienced individual that has ideally come from an enterprise sized organization. Looking for an experienced CCNA or CCNP level engineer. This position will have a combination of both daily operational support as well s project based work. A thorough understanding and 5-10 years of experience with the following technologies are required:- Operation, maintenance, design and configuration of the enterprise switching and routing network including Cisco Nexus 7010, 5096, Cisco Catalyst 6509/6513, Catalyst 4507 / 4509 and Catalyst 3750 / 3570. - Operation, maintenance, design and configuration of the enterprise security systems including Juniper and Checkpoint firewall clusters, Websense V10000 Security Gateway and DNS servers as well as VPN support.- Candidate must be willing to be on-call for a week once every three weeks. There is also some light travel expected throughout San Diego County, traveling to some of the end clients smaller sites.
