CSS-I works as a liaison between Security Operations and Focused Operations on indicator gathering and other research regarding threats against the customer. A strong focus on APT actors/TTPS is required as well as strong knowledge of OSINT techniques to aid with reporting threats. CSS-I collects and aggregates CND information from government and industry sources for the purpose of analyzing and reporting on trends and activity of sensor platforms. CSS-I assesses vulnerability of network operations; maintains daily operational situational awareness of Intrusion Problem Sets; develops/reviews and comments on incident handling procedures and reporting; and supports analysis projects related to Intrusion Sets and Named Areas of Interest(NAI) compromises. CSS-I supports the entire enterprise security needs to include the IT infrastructure as well as the IT systems. CSS-I should possess areas of expertise including knowledge of technology areas to include Network Infrastructure (e.g. routers, switches, and firewalls), Network Vulnerability Scanning, vulnerability patching, Traditional Security (e.g. Physical security), Host Based Security System (HBSS), Cross Domain Solutions (CDS), Releasable Networks, and Wireless Technologies.
wMust have extensive experience and proficiency in developing and presenting, both verbally and in writing, highly technical information and presentations to non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization.
wMust have experience collecting intelligence and analyzing and creating relevant intelligence reports.
wMust have experience taking disparate, seemingly-unrelated intelligence and extract meaning or relevance from the data.
wMust have experience effectively briefing and/or communicating intelligence data in a concise, effective, and persuasive manner. Must have experience with different collection methods, i.e. HUMINT, SIGINT, OSINT etc.
Must possess working knowledge of cyber intelligence threats, TTPs etc.
wMust possess strong written and verbal communication skills and must be capable of the understanding, documenting, and communicating technical issues in a non-technical manner.
wMalware analysis, forensics, and e-discovery experience and knowledge are preferred.
This position requires two (2) years experience and familiarity with current computer technologies, architectures, and understand and be knowledgeable of malware analysis,
MSCE, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, CEH desired
Department of Homeland Security experience desired
Must possess TS and be SCI eligible.
Must pass DHS suitability.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
