The Cyber Security Center Detection Analyst is focused on addressing information security incidents, including phishing, information theft, misuse of data, intrusions, hostile probes, and malicious software. Daily activities include analysis of multiple data sources using one of the many available tools, investigating and determining whether a threat applies to Ford. Willingness to work 2 weekends per year and working late during Critical events (this is rare).
3+ years of IT experience with network security technologies
Understanding of information security
Knowledge of common server and client operating systems and tools, as well as knowledge of network and storage infrastructure
Solid oral and written communications skills
Strong interest in Security and Controls, specifically the areas of incident investigation, technical event/incident assessment, malware research; and a desire to gain competency in these areas
Disciplined approach utilized when completing work and adhering to procedures
Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, problem solving, and prioritization skills
Demonstrate high level of independent initiative, drive for results, quality methods and integrity
