Cyber Security Engagement Leader

DESCRIPTION Koniag Services, Inc. is looking for a Cyber Security Engagement Leader to join our team in the DC Metropolitan area.

The Cyber Security Engagement Leader will have substantial consulting experience in meeting client Cyber Security requirements. This is a high growth area and therefore will require a high-energy leader with experience managing teams and sub-contractors.

Functions, Responsibilities and Duties:

Lead, plan, and manage programs for client organizations to meet delivery, quality, and cost goals on Cyber consulting engagements. Work closely with clients, partners and staff to build Cyber solutions around continuous monitoring and diagnostics. Serve in a leadership role with knowledge and client delivery expertise with a focus on generating intellectual capital. Manage new offerings around Cyber compliance, threat intelligence, scaling existing businesses focused on incident response, Cyber operations, and security engineering. Participate in leading the capture and execution of market opportunities and deliver solutions for federal market clients. Manage and build business within the client and the broader federal Cyber community. Ensure competency in project and financial management, manage teams, and formulate a business strategy.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education, Experience & Skills:

The Leader will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10 – 15 years of experience with leading Cyber consulting engagements in the Federal market including defining, establishing, and leading business development and solution delivery
  • Experience with delivering solutions such as FISMA reviews, Risk Assessments, threat intelligence, Cyber analytics, incident response, and Cyber operations
  • Experience with the development of Cyber-related service offerings
  • Experience in business development and delivery with a focus on market aligned organizations
  • Experience with leading proposal work and responding to RFPs
  • Experience with mentoring, developing, and managing highly productive leaders who can win new business, develop technical solutions and leading capture programs
  • Knowledge of information system life cycles and the functional expertise to tailor solutions to meet client Cyber solution requirements
  • Ability to align solutions with business needs, create innovative approaches to address client requirements, and build collaborative internal and external relationships
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • PMP or CISSP Certification preferred
  • An understanding of CMMI processes and procedures
  • An understanding of ISO 9000 processes and procedures

Working Environment & Conditions

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time.  The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.  The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
