Developer, Web Portal and DSS
Details: Group: EMG Clearance Level Needed: Public Trust Shift: Day ManTech is seeking a Senior Web Developer with experience developing Web Portals and Decision Support Systems (DSS) Dashboards. General Responsibilities: The individual shall provide technical support to develop Web based applications, including Dashboards. Some of the required responsibilities include:• Develop and maintain DSS dashboards – integrated dashboard web sites, and front-end web user interfaces• Support key software development tasks, including web services and frontend web applications• Develop web services for specified databases and knowledge bases• Build wrappers around computational models so that that can have web services implemented• Develop web services for specified models, and wrap a variety of data sources and applications• Develop new widgets as needed that can be integrated into the existing toolkit• Document web services and applications for external developers’ use• Develop front end widgets to display information in flexible ways -widgets will work within the existing frontend framework• Construct prototype versions of web-based dashboards for addressing specific needs• Create user documentation for dashboards (help pages)• Document task progress and brief management on current status and planned work• Communicate technical topics to team members, managers, customer personnel and IT professionals in a manor appropriate to their knowledge level• Work as part of a team and provide feedback, recommend changes, answer questions, etc. Requirements: The candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience participating in web development projects. The individual shall possess working knowledge and experience in the following: • JavaScript programming• Java programming• Web design experience (including HTML, CSS, etc.)• Implementing and using web services (RESTful)• Expertise in using XML• Database programming experience (MySQL preferred)• Demonstrated writing and communication skills Work is located in The Research Triangle Park in North Carolina.
