Front End Architect
Details: Chase Winters Worldwide (a leading retained executive search firm) is currently conducting several highly visible search initiatives for a Front End Technology Architect. This opportunity is located in El Segundo, California. Our client is a premier global, strategic, management, and information technology firm. Fortune magazine identifies this organization among the top companies that “inspire, nurture, and empower a new generation of global leaders.” Responsibilities: Should be capable of interfacing with senior designer and define next generation website (responsive design etc.) road map development activities. Influence the acceptance of new technologies that drive consistency, efficiency, and agility to the organization Should be involved in doing proof of concepts on how a new front-end frame work can be used for their dotcom space Should also have thought leadership on using best industry experiences Stays informed about technology trends, directions, and determines applicability Utilizes industry and competitive knowledge to apply the most current and appropriate ideas in a forward-looking manner to support the business and also to anticipate new opportunities Conducts vendor/technology evaluation as appropriate Ensures coding standards are met and deliverable meets client expectations • Work with business teams, requirement collection Design and coding Status reporting Onsite-offshore coordination Please Note: This description does not cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Skills: Need to have strong hands on coding experience on the following front end skills: o JQuery Java script a must, JRobot a plus o CSS 3 and Sencha a must, HTML5 a plus o Integrating Java Script framework with JSPs Good understanding of Object Oriented Design (OOD) techniques desirable. Experience with UML, requirements gathering, use case analysis and object modeling Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken Excellent interpersonal skills – collaborate, facilitate, and negotiate as necessary Knowledge of telecom/cable/satellite industry a strong plus Qualification: Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Math, Physics or Physical Science required, a Master’s Degree a plus. Experience Required: A minimum of seven years of experience with listed responsibilities and skill sets.
