Police in McComb have released surveillance photos of two men suspected in a credit card fraud case.
A resident of Walker, Louisiana, told McComb police Thursday that he was notified by his bank that there was suspicious activity on his Capital One card. Someone had used the card number at a McComb Walmart on two transactions to purchase $210.88 worth of GoPhone Cards. A third attempt failed, police said. The victim said he still had his bank card and didn’t know how someone got his information.
Walmart reviewed security video and found multiple purchases by two men who were seen swiping several credit cards, police said.
The first person is a white man, who was wearing a camouflage hat, a black short sleeved shirt and khaki cargo pants, police said. The second person is also a white man, seen wearing a tan ball cap, an army olive drab short sleeved T-shirt and dark-colored cargo pants.
Other credit card fraud victims were being contacted to verify that their identities had been stolen, police said.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS.
