As one of the speakers stated, “If you don’t want anyone to see your data, don’t create it” • Cloud already has many regulations. Things that used to be negotiated are becoming more standardized. There are industry bodies that make sure everything is going well. Cloud Security Alliance (cloudsecurityalliance.org is one of such organizations. • Many of the challenges businesses need to address include employee motivation- the desire to get the job done v. adhering to security standards, security offsite and onsite, data boundaries and risk, what is the best way to encrypt data, knowing where data is located and permissions. • Industries including education, healthcare and financial ones • The role of the legal agreements and working with higher level executives was addressed.
