Details: Job Classification: Contract Title: Analytics Software EngineerLocation: Foster City, CATerm: 6 month contract, extendable based upon performance and budgetRate: $50-$60/hr DOEPlease Note:Client does NOT offer sponsorship.Applicant MUTST be eligible to work for any employerJob Description The Analytics Software Engineer will work directly with Analytics Team and Solutions Architects to develop and support the implementation of custom enterprise analytics and reporting solutions for our merchant customers, as well as internal end users and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience or the ability to develop a warehouse environment for analytical consumption and deployment of visual aggregated data to external consumers. Responsibilities The responsibilities for this position are: – Gather requirements from analytics team members to develop: – a web-based interactive customer-facing reporting platform – a data infrastructure to support internal reporting and ad hoc analytics through BI tools – Enhance and maintain a user interface developed using technologies such as Struts, JSP, Tapestry, JavaScript, or jQuery – Maintain and enhance db collections, providing structure where necessary, including map reduce jobs – Demonstrate software for various technical and non-technical stakeholders Qualifications Required Skills The candidate must have the following: – Bachelor of Science or Masters of Science in Computer Science or related degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience – Three or more years of experience designing and developing Java and JEE (J2EE) applications – Two or more years of experience in Business Intelligence or data mining – Experience with the JBoss Application Server – Familiarity with NOSQL and distributed architecture – Experience in relational database usage with commercial-grade databases such as Oracle or MySQL – Experience in object-oriented design including the use of design patterns – Experience with Test Driven Development – Experience in designing and scripting functional tests and unit tests – Experience with Struts, JSP, Tapestry, JavaScript, and jQuery – Understanding of SOA and ROA principles and web services technologies – Experience using a Software Configuration system such as CVS or AccuRev – Good oral and written communications skills Desired Skills The candidate may have the following: – Payment processing knowledge – Experience with multi-threaded Java development for fault-tolerant, scalable, high-volume systems – Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban – Experience with the Eclipse IDE – Experience with the Maven build environment To inquire more information on the position: Call Tingting: 415-343-6019 email at: tye(at)teksystems.com Join TEKsystems® and get your career on the fast track.
