SPECIALIST, IT
Details: This position can be located in either Austin, Texas or Lincoln, NEJOB PURPOSE: This position contributes to an effective and efficient Information Technology department by working on a team supporting a specific business area(s) of the company. This position will develop, maintain and test programs/changes. Essential Functions: Designs, develops and maintains complex programs in specialty component system. Develops, executes, and documents test plans. Works with users to define scope of project. Develops business requirements and specifications for specialized components, which may involve identifying alternatives at the system level. Analyzes application problems and determines appropriate solution. May lead small projects. Creates estimates and time lines for scheduled tasks. Applies in-depth knowledge of data to create effective solutions. Designs and suggests database and other file structure upgrades and implementation. Applies in-depth knowledge of business functions of the assigned business unit. Applies understanding of supported business area functions to assignments. Addresses user inquiries related to areas of responsibility. Communicates with, team, department, and business area. Maintains system documentation. Works with vendors, partners, internal/external customers. Provides mentoring for junior associates. Becomes a backup for additional specialty component. Applies to assignments in-depth knowledge of: Company tools and policies. IT tools, policies and system structure. Applies to assignments thorough understanding of: System Development Methodology (SDM). IT Best Practices. Department Standards. UNIFI IT Flow. Applies to assignments expert skills with: Development tools. Application programming language, appropriate for business area. Application flow. Serves as strong contributor in developing and updating UNIFI IT Flow. Completes other tasks as assigned.
