NORTH CAROLINA — Two North Carolina millennials have marketable skills but seem to be putting them to use in ways more likely to land them jail time than a job.
Federal authorities are charging 22-year-old Andrew Boggs of north Wilkesboro and 24-year-old Justin Liverman of Morehead City in connection with a computer hacking scheme targeting senior government officials and government computer systems.
Investigators say the two were involved with a hacking group that calls itself “Crackas with Attitude.”
They say between last October and February, the group hacked the online accounts of government officials and their families.
Boggs and Liverman are scheduled to be in federal court next week in Alexandria, Virginia
