Under an agreement signed on Sept. 7 with the U.S. nuclear security agency, the Czech Republic will receive portable radiation detection gear to help prevent illicit trafficking of special nuclear and other radioactive material.

The country signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the U.S. to strengthen efforts in the fight against nuclear terrorism, said the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).
