11 charged in multi-jurisdiction child predator investigation in Jefferson County | #childpredator | #kidsaftey | #childsaftey


The Fultondale Police Department announced on Sunday the arrest of 11 individuals in connection to a child predator investigation.

Fultondale PD worked with Covenant Rescue Group, a non-profit founded by former Jefferson County Sheriff candidate Jared Hudson and his wife. The group rescues victims and helps arrest suspects of human trafficking.

Officers with Leeds, Warrior, Homewood, Irondale and other agencies assisted in the following arrests:

  • Jamonte Jackson, 25, of Bartow, GA – traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child.

  • Domingo Cruz, 34, of Bessemer – traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child.

  • Ariel Quezada, 25, of Pinson – traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child.

  • Rolando Santana, 27, of Jasper – traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child.

  • Dominique Powell, 37, of Tarrant – traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child.

  • Angelo Wilson, 58, of Birmingham – traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child.

  • Alexis Reyes, 22, of Columbiana – traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child.

  • Brian McLeod, 27, of Pleasant Grove – traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act, electronic solicitation of a child, and transmitting obscene material to a child.

  • Jayson Sparks, 55, of Cullman – traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child.

  • Alexander Osala, 32, of Bessemer – traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act, electronic solicitation of a child, aggravated assault of a police officer, and resisting arrest.

  • Robert Newton, 22, of Trussville – traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act, electronic solicitation of a child, attempting to elude, and resisting arrest.

“Robert Newton backed into an unmarked police vehicle in an attempt to flee,” Fultondale Police stated. “He then refused medical treatment. However, the Jefferson County Jail refused to accept him because he had been involved in a vehicle accident. He is currently wanted for the listed charges.”
