27 Social Security Numbers Leaked In Ransomware Attack | #malware | #ransomware | #cybersecurity | #infosecurity | #hacker



Tulsa city leaders gave an update Tuesday afternoon on the ransomware attack that crippled the city’s systems briefly in May.

The city said that while most of the data leaked were police reports, they have identified 27 instances were social security numbers were shared. The city said they are contacting those involved.

After the ransomware attack, the city said that 18,000 files were leaked to the dark web, mainly police reports and internal documents.

City leaders are asking people to check and see if their information was leaked through their new online lookup tool. Visit CityOfTulsa.org/Cyber to check your information.
