2nd threat to Sutter Middle School in a week prompts police investigation | #schoolsaftey


The Sacramento Police Department conducted an investigation at Sutter Middle School after two threats targeted the school within the span of a week. Sacramento police said the threats were made on social media and detectives were investigating the circumstances of the threats. Officers remained on campus throughout the school day for safety purposes.Sutter principal Cristin Tahara sent out an alert on Thursday afternoon that the investigation determined a group of students was creating fake social media profiles and impersonating another student while making threats against the school.”We take the safety of Sutter Middle School very seriously and anyone found to be making threats against our school will not be allowed to return to Sutter for the remainder of the year, in addition to any consequences they may face from law enforcement,” said Tahara(Video player above: Thursday’s Top Headlines)According to Tahara’s message, there was no credibility to the treats made.The first threat was made on Monday.
