A jury in Blount County has returned a $4,060.000.00 verdict against a former Locust Fork High School assistant principal. Tim Odus Clevenger was convicted in 2018 for the production of child pornography and possession of obscene matter after filming two female students. One, a 14-year-old, was undressing to take a shower. Clevenger transferred the videos from his cellphone to the laptop computer issued to him by the school. Those images were discovered on his school laptop by Blount County Board of Education IT specialists, who reported it to law enforcement.Attorney Scott Gilliland represented the plaintiff who sued Clevenger for invasion of privacy and negligence.“My client and I are pleased with the verdict. There is no amount of money that can fully compensate a child who has been exploited by a predator,” Gilliland said. “But, we hope this verdict will send a message to those who prey upon children.
