COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A convicted sex offender appears to be on the run from the U.S. Marshals Service and could be in the Colorado Springs area.
The U.S. Marshals Service’s Colorado Violent Offender Task Force is asking for help with locating 78-year-old Francisco Navarro-Gonzalez. He’s described as 5′8″, about 180 pounds, with brown eyes and bald. His facial hair may be different that in the photo portrayed in the video at the top of this article.
According to the Marshals, Navarro-Gonzalez failed to register as a sex offender. He was convicted of sex assault of a child by one in a position of trust. The Marshals Service adds he is known to frequent bars and popular drinking events. He could be driving a 2004 Honda Acura TL, Black in color barring tag: AYC-Z78. He also has ties to California and Arizona.
Anyone with information on his location is asked to call 1-877-926-8332 or submit a tip online at usmarshals.gov, p3tips.com/USMS.aspx, or through the USMS Tips App.
According to records held by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the last time he registered as a sex offender was in April of 2020.
