Warning: Details in this story might be unsettling to someA man the Sacramento Police Department is calling a serial sexual predator is under arrest in New York.In a news release posted Thursday morning, Sacramento police announced the arrest of 35-year-old Kabeh Cummings in connection to multiple sexual assaults that occurred within the Sacramento area dating back to 2010.Police said that on August 29, 2023, Cummings was taken into custody by the New York Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.According to the police department, Cummings will be extradited to Sacramento, where he will be booked at the Sacramento County main jail on the following charges:Kidnapping and carrying awayThree counts of kidnapping to commit rapeOne count of anal or genital penetration by foreign object by forceThree counts of forcible oral copulationTwo counts of forcible rapeOne count of sodomy of an unconscious victim”The arrest of the suspect in this case would not have been possible without efforts from the following: Sacramento Police Department, New York Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation Sacramento and New York Field Offices, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, and the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office,” the news release stated.Police are also asking anyone who might have been a victim or anyone who may know more about Cummings, to call their tip line at 916-808-1773.Sacramento Police and partner agencies are scheduled to hold a joint news conference about the arrest September 5 at 9 a.m.This is a developing story. A man the Sacramento Police Department is calling a serial sexual predator is under arrest in New York.
In a news release posted Thursday morning, Sacramento police announced the arrest of 35-year-old Kabeh Cummings in connection to multiple sexual assaults that occurred within the Sacramento area dating back to 2010.
Police said that on August 29, 2023, Cummings was taken into custody by the New York Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
