CMC CS, a subsidiary of CMC Corporation, is a leading cybersecurity company in Vietnam, recognized for its high-quality products and services in data encryption, web application firewalls, antivirus, and centralized malware management services. It has received numerous awards locally and was selected as one of the top 10 information security companies in Vietnam by the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) in 2023. CMC CS also operates businesses in Japan and Korea.

Through this strategic partnership, both companies aim to protect local businesses and government agencies from cyberattacks with NPCore’s EDR, XDR, CTIP, network/email APT products, and the ‘K-Cybersecurity Suite’ of excellent Korean cybersecurity companies.

In March 2024, VNDirect, the third-largest securities broker in Vietnam, was hit by a cyberattack, leading to a disconnection from the trading system and a temporary 10% drop in trading volumes on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HSX). This incident highlighted the critical importance of cybersecurity.

NPCore has been operating its local branch(CEO Dung Tran) in Hanoi since 2021, and since 2022, it has been providing EDR security solutions to Sky Lake, Vietnam’s largest golf resort.

During the signing ceremony for the business agreement, David Sehyeon Baek, NPCore’s Chief Strategy Officer, noted, “Currently, there are about 9,000 Korean companies in Vietnam, spanning various sectors such as electronics, textiles, real estate, and finance, making cybersecurity protection for these companies urgent. We believe this collaboration with CMC CS, which offers high-quality services and excellent security products and networks in Vietnam, is a great opportunity to contribute to the protection of Korean companies, leading local companies, and Vietnamese government agencies with Korean security technologies.”
