AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Ardent Health Services reported that BSA Health System has experienced another “cybersecurity incident” on Tuesday following the “ransomware incident” that occured in November 2023.

Officials with Ardent detailed that certain individuals whose personal information may have been impacted by the cybersecurity incident are being notified at this time. previously reported that on Nov. 23, 2023, Ardent discovered a “ransomware incident” that impacted its network and they immediately notified law enforcement. Ardent, added officials, launched an investigation into the incident and received assistance from an outside security firm and “successfully terminated the unauthorized access.”

Recently, according to officials, Ardent’s forensics investigation found that an “unauthorized third party” extracted documents with personal information. Officials noted that “Ardent has no indication that this information has been misused.”

Ardent added that the data review process is ongoing and individuals that were possibly impacted will receive letters in the mail “in accordance with all applicable law.”

In addition, Ardent set up a toll-free call center to support impacted individuals which can be accessed by calling 1-833-961-7634 Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

“Ardent values the trust patients and team members place in it to protect the privacy and security of their information, and sincerely regrets any inconvenience or concern this incident may have caused,” a news release from Ardent read.
