Associate IT Security Analyst

Description

 As Associate Security Analyst, you will assist in providing security incident analysis, response, remediation support, and customer support for IT security services. You will also provide administrative support of security tools and technologies as well as assist in evaluating existing security processes and recommend improvements and maintain existing or new documentation. Additionally, you will provide daily monitoring of security data from security tools (i.e., SIEM, IDS, etc.), correlate data and respond appropriately. You will also track and report events and vulnerabilities to customers and management as well as provide vulnerability management support to customers.

Qualifications

 

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree. 
  • One year of experience in security incident response, security applications administration or operating system support.
  • In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience.
  • Experience with technologies generating security alerts (i.e., IPS/IDS, SIEM, etc.) 
  • Programming skills such as C/C++, Python, Ruby, shell scripting.
  • A valid US or Canadian driver’s license. 
  • Per ITAR regulations, this position must be filled by a US person (citizen or permanent resident).
Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, computer technology, information security or related fields.
  • Experience in a diverse systems environment.
  • Application programming, system integration, system administration, and computer security experience.  
  • University experience.
  • IT security certifications
  • Basic IT forensics skills
