Authorities are searching for a sex offender who failed to return to a work release facility.
William Thomas Slack failed to report back to the Burlington Residential Correctional Facility, as required, on Saturday evening.
Slack is a 29-year-old white male, height 5 feet, 11 inches, and weighs 179 pounds.
He was convicted of third-degree sexual abuse in Van Buren County in April 2015.
The victim was a female 13-years-old or younger, according to the Iowa Sex Offender Registry.
Slack was 20-years-old at the time of the offense.
He was admitted to the work release facility on Aug 1.
Anyone with information on Slack’s whereabout is asked to contact local police.
