The key is getting the holiday to-do’s done now, not later. “I always say to try to get as much done as you can in October and November before Thanksgiving. Make a list of everything that you need to do before the holidays,” advises Salisbury. Start by making a master list. That list could include anything that can be done now to save you time later. Decluttering should be on everyone’s list. “This is when we really want to make sure that we can do as much decluttering as possible, especially in the kids’ rooms. You’re going to want to start in their closets and look through all of their clothes because you have to remember all the things that are coming in,” Salisbury said.The holidays are stressful because of all the extra demands on your time.
