Shocking footage shows a Russian man’s final moments as he is killed by a shark while swimming in the Red Sea.
The terrifying incident was captured by stunned beachgoers in the Egyptian resort of Hurghada.
In a video circulating on social media, a man can be seen swimming frantically out at sea.

Shouting can be heard as he thrashes around in the water, while an onlooker repeatedly exclaims “oh my God” as the shark emerges at the water’s surface and attacks.
He can also be heard screaming “papa, papa”.
The man appears to briefly attempt to fight off the beast before the shark thrashes its tail and the pair disappear below the surface.
A rescue boat comes into view seconds after the ordeal finishes.
Another video shared widely online claims to show a group of Egyptian locals who have caught the shark believed to have carried out the attack.
The clip shows swarms of people gathered around the ensnared beast, which authorities later identified as a tiger shark.
The victim was named in Russia by Baza news outlet as 23-year-old Vladimir Popov.
A 46-mile stretch of coastline was closed off until Sunday (June 4) by authorities following the attack.
Egypt’s Environment Ministry said the captured shark was being examined in a laboratory in a bid to determine the reason for the rare incident.
Although such attacks are uncommon in the Red Sea’s coastal regions, there were two fatal attacks in 2022 which saw Austrian and Romanian tourists lose their lives near Hurghada.
Red Sea resorts such as Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh are popular with European tourists and boast some of Egypt’s best beaches.
Tiger sharks are large species that reside in tropical and temperate waters and are among sharks most cited by the International Shark Attack File for unprovoked attacks on humans.
They can grow to lengths of 5m and weigh as much as 635kg.
