Corrie favourite Daniel Brocklebank has told how he’s been banned from a dating site because they suspected he was an impostor.
Daniel, who plays vicar Billy Mayhew in the ITV soap, attempted online dating after being encouraged by his mum, only to be kicked off because they thought his profile was a fake.
The 40-year-old actor says he’s now been put off online dating because of the experience, which fans found amusing.
He told fans on Twitter: “My mum suggested I join a dating site … I did and they banned my profile because they thought I was impersonating myself.”
“Brilliant, have they since let you re join now they know it’s you?” asked one follower.
And he replied: “Nope. I figured it was the universe suggesting it was the wrong move.”
“There can be… ONLY ONE!” another follower told him.
“That is sooo funny,” another commented.
And another said: “I’m here! No need for apps tbh.”
“The right one will come when you least expect it. You will know who he is,” encouraged another.
“As Twitter forms a queue 2m apart obvs,” said another fan.
