The Business Analyst will be responsible for working with business, technology and operational partners to understand requirements and translate these into functional solutions.
The Analysis team plays a pivotal role in the proper solutioning and design of all deliverables in the Account Services organization. This includes ensuring that the requirements are fully understood and documented, the data, workflow and technical design are fit for purpose and issues are analyzed and addressed in a timely manner.
The ability to work in a high pressured environment with multiple concurrent programs while meeting delivery timelines with a high degree of client satisfaction and quality is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather business requirements – working with stakeholders to analyze the information and ensure requirements are fully understood
  • Create clear and transparent documentation on existing process and determine gaps in solution that may impact requirements, also capturing any branch specific or customized logic
  • Production of functional requirements documents, data mapping documents, maintaining end-to-end requirements traceability and reviewing the test plan and cases as required.
  • Working with peers to ensure that the team tasks are balanced against changing business and technical priorities
  • Coordinate and influence Technology & Operations partners from the FRD phases through to delivery to align functional requirements and agree functional solutions.
  • Coordinate and manage requirement workshops between Product, Operations, and Technology to drive the design and development direction ensuring functional requirements are fully documented and testable.
  • Adherence to Project Management processes through all phases of the project life cycle, providing regular updates on FRD progress.
  • Management of requirement stakeholders, with tracking and proactive communications to solicit their prompt feedback and approvals, to ensure the timely delivery of FRDs and project milestones.
  • Provide functional support for new releases and liaise with internal & off-shore developers and test teams as needed.
  • Ensure standards are adhered to and that overall solutions proposed meet requirements and where possible are generic.
  • Co-ordinate and review impact analysis to ensure all risks are mitigated.
  • Support testing cycles (QC & UAT), this includes providing the teams with project documentation, reviewing and approval of all QC documentation, defect remediation and support of UAT and business partner test cycles.
  • Support and ensure handover of new/modified processes to the Operational teams.
  • Answer ad-hoc queries on existing Account Services processes.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner and all issues and risks are communicated to the program as appropriate.
  • Ensure design and control standards are adhered to and managing any open design issues to resolution.

  • Knowledge/previous experience Visio/Process Mapping and Data Mapping.
  • Familiarity with waterfall SDLC
  • Ability to prioritize own work, manage a team and multi-task.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Outstanding interpersonal effectiveness; strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Commitment to a cooperative team approach – a team player
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Intermediate level experience in a related role with experience in business, functional and people management, with proven abilities in taking responsibility for issuing to stakeholders high quality deliverables according to strict timetables.
  • Specific subject matter expertise regarding technology application control disciplines and a solid business understanding of financial products, especially those associated with the treasury and trade business.
  • Effective negotiation skills, a proactive and ‘no surprises’ approach in communicating issues and strength in sustaining independent views. This individual must be an articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writing, with an energetic, charismatic and approachable style.
Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels of internal and external audience and management.
