The State’s application to extradite seven men accused of running an internet romance scam that duped lonely and elderly Americans out of their money continued in the Cape Town Regional Court on Friday.

The US wants South Africa to hand them over for trial on wire fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering, and aggravated identity theft.

Permission to extradite is based on the allegations being crimes in the country seeking the extradition for trial.
