According to court documents, Craun used the messaging app Kik to communicate with an individual he believed was a 13-year-old girl. Messages between Craun and the girl turned sexual, police noted, with Craun setting up a meeting with the 13-year-old at Meijer.

But a 13-year-old girl wasn’t waiting for him at Meijer. Instead, he was confronted by members of the Predator Catchers Incorporated who were actually the ones who had been messaging Craun.

Court documents reveal that Craun admitted to police that he thought he was meeting a 13-year-old girl to “have some fun.”

Craun reportedly tried to grab the phone one of the PCI members was using to film him, resulting in a minor injury to the PCI member’s finger, police said.

If convicted of a Level 4 felony, Craun could face between two and 12 years in prison.
