Check Point Software has introduced its first-generation Infinity AI Copilot, providing AI-driven solutions to address the growing challenges in cybersecurity. The state-of-the-art platform leverages cloud and AI technologies, underscoring the tech firm’s pioneering status in the field.
As the number of ransomware attacks experienced a shocking rise of 90% in 2023, the importance of implementing fortified security measures was stressed. Moreover, with about four million vacant roles across the cybersecurity sector globally, the challenge of providing optimal protection has intensified. These issues, along with the struggle of managing a variety of security tools, are what Check Point’s solution aims to address.
The Infinity AI Copilot provides a holistic approach to security that includes real-time AI-powered threat prevention across all potential attack routes. Simultaneously, it offers consolidated operations through unified policy management and collaborative communication through rapid threat intelligence from Infinity ThreatCloud AI.
Eyal Manor, VP of Product Management at Check Point Software Technologies, stated, “With Infinity AI Copilot, we are ushering in a new era of cybersecurity where human-machine collaboration takes centre stage. Our vision is to enable security teams to work in harmony with AI, unlocking unprecedented efficiency and accuracy. We believe in a future where security is no longer a challenge but a seamless part of every organisation’s operations.”
The new platform provides a flexible solution for businesses to support varied security architectures. It’s adaptable for any IT environment and has impressive capabilities, like AI-driven threat hunting, analysis, and resolution. This seamless integration empowers security teams to concentrate on strategic innovation, rather than the administrative aspects of security.
In 2023, organizations faced an average of 60,000 cyber-attacks. Amid the growing threat and a skills shortage, Infinity AI Copilot becomes a powerful ally for security teams. Utilising Generative AI (GenAI), the platform automates complex security tasks and provides proactive solutions to security threats.
Features of Infinity AI Copilot include accelerating administrative work and managing and deploying security policies. At the same time, it oversees all solutions and components across the entire Check Point Infinity Platform, reinforcing its position as a comprehensive assistant. It also includes a simplified natural language processing system, allowing users to communicate and execute tasks in a conversational manner.
Frank Dickson, Group Vice President, Security & Trust, IDC, noted that AI in cybersecurity for better outcomes is a priority for Chief Information Security Officers. “Through AI and automation, Check Point Infinity AI Copilot looks to deliver improved cybersecurity outcomes by reducing the time needed for security administrator tasks like event analysis and trouble-shooting, while also delivering better security through improved security policies, threat hunting, mitigation, and remediation,” he said.
According to Check Point, Infinity AI Copilot offers an advantageous contrast to existing solutions in the market as it provides extensive coverage across various aspects of security. Its practical application ranges from threat analysis to IT and access policy management, making it stand out compared to other products offered by competitors. The platform is currently in preview, with a full launch expected in Q2 of this year.
