Texas A&M AgriLife Extension will be set up for a Back To School Child Safety Seat Checkup on Saturday at the annual Joy Campaign in partnership with OIMZION International Global Ministries and Missions.

Shawnte Clawson, a certified child passenger safety technician, will be set up from 10 a.m. to noon checking car seats on Saturday. The Joy Campaign event will be at OIMZION at 106 W. 2nd St. in Plainview.

There will be car seat safety checks and booster seat giveaways.

Clawson is an AgriLife Extension agent who works in the Family and Community Health Division. As a child passenger safety technician, she checks child passenger seats to ensure they’re installed properly.

The 17th annual Joy Campaign will include live praise and worship, food, games and other family-friendly activities.

That event will start on Saturday and continue on Sunday at 11 a.m.

Backpacks, school supplies and other items will be given away during the event.
