A child safety seat event was hosted in Birmingham on Oct. 8.Hyundai Motor America and Children’s of Alabama held the inspection event at The Summit.The event featured safety technicians who inspected car seats for expiration, recalls and proper fit of the seat for the child.Families also received a free car seat if needed.A news release stated research shows improper use and installation of child safety seats is a leading factor in increased child fatalities or injuries in car wrecks.
