The Canadian television personality, best known for his work on Sportscentre, posted a frantic message on his Instagram message on Thursday claiming Oakland had been taken.
The baby is just one-month-old.
Writing on Instagram, Dan O’Toole begged whoever had his baby to take care of her.
He also said that he did not know if his baby is alive
‘My baby Oakland. I’m praying that whoever has you, is holding you,’ he wrote.
‘That whoever has taken you from me, is protecting you. That, whoever has you, let’s you come back into my arms. I love you Oakland.
‘I can’t wait to one day hold you again. My heart is broken. I am broken,
‘To be clear, Oakland is alive, we think. But we don’t know. I have a one-month-old child and I don’t know where she is.’
He later edited the post to say that his ‘amazing ex-wife Corrie’ had nothing to do with Oakland’s disappearance.
However, several hours after his plea, Dan O’Toole confirmed his baby had been found.
Police in Durham, Canda, confirmed that the tot was with her mother. They said that there are ‘no safety concerns for [the] child’s safety at this point’.
Dan O’Toole later returned to Instagram to confirm that his baby had been found.
In the new messages, he criticised people who had decided to ‘bash’ him.
He also admitted that he was still ‘broken’ after the ordeal and would ‘never be the same again’.
Mr O’Toole wrote: ‘My baby Oakland has been confirmed to be safe. I have still not seen her or held her.
‘To those that decided to bash me during this ordeal, tell me this: have you ever looked in the eyes of your kids, and not been able to tell them where their sister is or when they will see her again? We are still broken. We may never be fixed again.’
