China on Tuesday rejected accusations it carried out a malicious cyber attack against New Zealand’s parliament, with the Chinese embassy in Wellington calling the allegations “groundless”.
“We reject outright such groundless and irresponsible accusations,” the embassy said in a statement, hours after New Zealand’s cybersecurity agency tied an attack on the country’s Parliamentary Counsel Office to a Chinese state-sponsored group.
