Clintondale schools closed while police investigate threats | #schoolsaftey

CLINTON TOWNSHIP (WWJ) – A local school district is closed today while police investigate threats made involving the high school.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Clinton Township Police Department said they are investigating threats of violence involving Clintondale High School.

Authorities say the threat stemmed from an incident involving several minors over the weekend.

The threat may be related to an alleged assault on a student which occurred on Friday.

The Clintondale Community School District has closed all five schools for Monday, Nov. 13 out of “an abundance of caution,” according to a message posted by the district.

The investigation is ongoing, and police say there have been no arrests made at this time.
