Comedian Katherine Ryan previously revealed that she had confronted a colleague on the set of a popular show after allegations that he was a sexual “predator”.

Speaking candidly on her Amazon Prime Show Backstage With Katherine Ryan, the 8 Out Of 10 Cats star admitted that she was unsure of what to do with the allegations before confronting the alleged man.

Katherine has starred in a number of programmes such as Mock The Week, Have I Got News For You and Never Mind The Buzzcocks.

Speaking with fellow comedian Sara Pascoe, who says she is also aware of the alleged man’s identity, Katherine Ryan said: “I’ve thought about that, but it’s such a messy thing because I don’t have proof, what, am I not supposed to feed my children because of someone else?”

Sara responded, saying: “Also in that instance that you’re referencing it was about raising it,” to which the star said: “I raised it. I called him a predator to his face and in front of everyone every day.”

During the discussion, Sara also revealed that she had once reported a male colleague after a viewer alleged that he had raped her.

She said: “Have you ever done a job and then someone’s contacted you and said: ‘That’s my rapist’? I had it on a job recently where I’ve had to go to the channel, and it’s that whole thing because you feel such a sense of responsibility but you also want it to be dealt with well… it’s so complicated.”

This follows on from a spate of allegations made against stand-up comic and presenter Russell Brand in recent days following an investigation by The Times and Channel 4 series Dispatches.

The star was accused of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse by four women, all of which he denies.
