Convicted Sex Offender Charged with Another Felony After Failing to Update Address in Nez Perce County | Idaho | #childpredator | #kidsaftey | #childsaftey

NEZ PERCE COUNTY – A 61-year-old convicted sex offender is now facing another felony charge after failing to register/verify his new and current address in Nez Perce County as required by his offender registration status.

Tracy Grogan’s criminal history shows he was convicted of two counts of Indecency with a child by sexual act in Texas in 2011, which requires him to register as a sex offender in the state of Idaho.

According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by Big Country News Connection, on June 3 officers made contact with Grogan at a residence in the 21000 block of Webb Road in regard to him failing to verify his new address. According to the affidavit, Grogan had previously been using an address in Culdesac that he did not have permission to use and was staying at a vacant lot at Grassland West. Grogan was then trespassed from the Grassland West property and moved out of the Culdesac area on May 25, 2023.

As required by his sex offender registration status, Grogan was supposed to notify law enforcement of the address change by the end of the day on May 30, 2023. He had still failed to do so by the time of the contact on June 3.

As a result Grogan was placed under arrest and booked into the Nez Perce County Jail on the felony charge. During an arraignment hearing held Monday, judge Karin Seubert placed Grogan’s bond at $15,000.
