WOODRIDGE, IL — Woodridge police doled out 58 tickets as part of a safety campaign that kicked off May 19 and spanned Memorial Day weekend.

The following citations were issued:

  • 28 speeding tickets
  • 16 seatbelt tickets
  • Five distracted driving tickets
  • Four tickets for driving without insurance
  • Four miscellaneous citations
  • One ticket for driving with a suspended/revoked license

“Through the Memorial Day enforcement campaign, we helped make Illinois roads safer and
spread the word that seat belts and child safety restraints save lives,” Woodridge Police Department Deputy Chief Tom Stefanson said in a news release.
