FOREST COUNTY – On Thursday June 18, 2020 at approximately 7:30 PM the Forest County Drug Task Force performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Town of Lincoln for a motor vehicle violation.The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as Darrin P Wilson 32 years old of Crandon.
The Forest County K9 Unit was deployed on the vehicle and K9 Leroy gave a positive indication on the vehicle. A vehicle search was performed and Detectives located approximately a ¼ ounce of Methamphetamine in two separate bags along with drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Darrin Wilson was taken into custody for felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony bail jumping.
Darrin Wilson is currently being held in the Forest County Jail pending a bond hearing. Darrin should be presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

RHINELANDER – Students facing financial hardship at Nicolet College in Rhinelander can now apply to get some of their education paid for.
It’s part of a program called Three for Free, which pays for up to three course credits.
The program is made possible by a donation from District Mutual Insurance and funds will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Students must meet a few qualifications to apply:
-They must be new students
-Show proof of unemployment for a period of time after March 13
-Earn a C or better in the course they’re applying to get credited for.
