Job Description

W R Systems, Ltd. has a need for a Cybersecurity Engineer for an exciting opportunity to support Navy and Marine Corps efforts to develop cutting-edge rapid-prototype technology with vital cybersecurity measures.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with the development of measures and plans that ensure that technology, components, and information are adequately protected throughout prototyping, delivery, and sustainment phases in accordance with National Security Agency (NSA) policy and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for all aspects of system architecture in the accreditation boundary including operating systems and network interconnections.
  • Perform security reviews to identify gaps in security architecture and develop security risk management plans.

Candidates must possess the following experience and skills:

  • Six (6) or more years of full-time professional experience in the following:

o IA
o Vulnerability analysis
o Risk remediation
o Implementation of cybersecurity controls within DoD systems

  • Possess an in-depth understanding of computer security, military system specifications, DoD cybersecurity policies, and the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations.
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Experience with cybersecurity engineering, test and evaluation, and analysis applications like Core Impact, Metasploit, Splunk, Wireshark, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), and Network Mapper is desired.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is required.
  • The following additional certifications and experience are a Plus:

o Familiarity with USMC Cyber applications and tools
o CISP (Certified Information Security Manager)
o CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
o GPEN (GIAC Certified Penetration Tester)
o CISP (Certified Information Security Manager)
o GCIH (GIAC Certified Incident Handler)
o CISM (Certified information Security Manager)
o CISA (Certified Information System Auditor)
o Fully-Qualified Navy Validator (FQNV)
o SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
o Offensive Security Certified Professional
o CompTIA Security+
o Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
o Host-Based Security Systems (HBSS)
o Core Impact, Metasploit, Splunk, Wireshark, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), and Network Mapper

Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
Minimal Travel Required.
