Cyber Security IT


Type of Job: Full-time

Work Location: Redstone Arsenal, AL

Duties and Responsibilities:

The individual must be IAM Level II certified in accordance to DoD 8570_01M and able to perform these functions:

  • Identify information technology security program implementation of COTS or NDI
  • Develop and document requirements, capabilities and constraints for system design procedures and processes
  • Execute the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and execute cyber security risk assessments to characterize the aggregate level of risk to the COTS or NDI considering threats, vulnerabilities, likelihood, known exploits and potential impacts as well as existing and planned risk mitigation
  • Develop Security Assessment Plans to assess cyber security controls In Accordance With (IAW) RMF DoD 8510.01
  • Consult with Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to evaluate functional requirements; coordinate with systems engineers and Program Manager, as needed, in the development of technical, management and operational controls
  • Research and identify available technologies and standards to meet the Product Directorate requirements
  • Identify functional-and security-related features to find opportunities for new capability developments to exploit or mitigate Vulnerabilities
  • Provide technical support and assist in preparing and implementing policy guidance to the Product Directorate
  • Work closely with program and project activities to develop safeguards for the COTS or NDI that are connected to Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN)
  • Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures reflecting the legislative intent of applicable laws and regulation for the Product Directorate
  • Review and analyze technical aspects of proposals and integrity studies for the Product Directorate to determine adequacy and ensure executive, statutory, regulatory requirements are effectively met
  • Provide advice and suggested guidance as it relates to the Assess and Authorize and Federal Information Management Act (FISMA)


Qualified candidates will have:

Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field and at least 5 years of general Management Information Systems and/or Cyber Security. Existing SECRET security clearance highly desired or ability to obtain security clearance; ability to work independently; excellent communication skills are required.
