We are seeking a motivated Cyber Security Research Intern who will work at our Basking Ridge, NJ location as a member of a high-performing team and assist senior researchers and/or project managers to conduct research in the realm of cyber security.

In this role you will work on a project that will advance the theoretical foundations of cyber security, making fundamental advances in understanding cyber phenomena. Your work will require you to:
Conduct innovative research in cyber security
Apply state-of-the-art research techniques and enhancing such techniques to achieve project goals with a small team of collaborators
Conduct system architecture design, software design, and software implementation
Perform debugging, performance evaluation, and paper/document writing
Present research findings

Graduate student working towards a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields
Strong communication skills
Strong programming skills in common programming and scripting languages, such as C, C++, Java, Python, and Shell scripting languages
Comprehensive understanding and hands-on skills in Unix-family operating systems (e.g., Unix and Linux)
Possess a comprehensive understanding of recent research and industrial advances in the following areas:
Computer and communication networks
Cyber security threat detection
Cyber security experimentation/testing
Machine learning
Ability to operate effectively in a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships
