Sentar is currently seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to provide Cyber Lifecycle Support to DHA. This individual will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the DHA in cybersecurity lifecycle support for health care systems/applications/Programs of Record. Activities will include risk assessments, development of A&A packages, annual reviews, continuous monitoring, and vulnerability analysis and mitigation.
  • Using eMASS to maintain the cybersecurity status of systems and creating, tracking, and supporting A&A packages to ATO
  • Ensuring the privacy of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI) within these systems/applications
  • Developing remediation, mitigations, risk assessments, and security analysis to support system authorizations to include POA&M development
  • Supporting the team in using the following validation and scanning tools in these cybersecurity activities: SCAP, STIG, Nessus and ACAS Security Center
  • Managing IAVM compliance using applications such as VRAM and CRMS
  • Providing technical leadership and consulting support
  • Active clearance of Secret or above
  • IAT Level II certified (e.g. Security+, CASP, CISSP)
  • Outstanding communication skills including verbal (listening and speaking), written and presentation
  • Outstanding team work, diplomacy and leadership behaviors
  • Detail-oriented (formatting, grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure)
  • Knowledgeable in NIST, POA&Ms, eMASS, DIACAP/RMF and ACAS
  • Willingness to learn other technical areas required for the DHA
  • Knowledge of advanced MS Excel functions including pivot tables/charts, formulas, .csv file manipulation, and the visual representation of information is a bonus
  • Desired knowledge of one or more of the following security tools: SCAP Compliance Checker 4.0, STIG Viewer, Nessus, ACAS Security Center
  • Subject Matter Expertise in one or more security disciplines/areas of expertise including NIST security controls, continuous monitoring, vulnerability analysis, knowledge of KB articles and CVEs, the ability to decipher .xml and .xccdf, as well as software assurance, operating systems, and networks
