DESCRIPTION Atlas Research is seeking an accomplished systems and security administrator to serve as an Information System Security Officer for the CCG Enterprise Technology Lab. The mission of the lab is to provide high-quality technical support at the unclassified, sensitive by unclassified, and classified levels for direct-funded projects and research projects associated with the CCG work program.

ETLab is a highly dynamic environment that deploys and maintains numerous secured systems involving unique security and privacy requirements.

The successful candidate will have a background in Operational Security, as well as hands-on technical skills in the areas of systems administration and programming. Duties will include coordination and enhancement of existing auditing and continuous monitoring activities, vulnerability assessment, tracking of findings, POA&M log coordination, and development of automated processes for managing configuration control.

As a critical member of the security services team, the candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills, be able to coordinate at a technical level within a fast paced and dynamic environment, and be ready to exercise initiative and creativity in evolving innovative and methodical processes and procedures

Work Description

  • The selected candidate will lead the development of an integrated master schedule to support the BEP U.S. Currency Program (USCP), focusing on development of the IMS, the overall roadmap to new currency, and the aligned project level schedules for acquisition, design, technology assessments, research and development (R&D), etc…
  • Provide program management expertise to assess and identify the current risks and issues with managing the overall schedule to the next generation of US banknotes.
  • Develop recommendations for alternatives and process changes to improve the sponsor’s ability to manage the overall schedule and predict schedule changes and risks associated with proposed changes.
  • Provide Microsoft Project / Project Server expertise to assess and identify the factors contributing to the current issue with managing the update to the next generation of US

Required Skills/Capabilities –

  • BS in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems is required for consideration.
  • 2+ years experience must include:
    •  Assurance of confidentiality, integrity and availability of multiple information systems hosting sensitive information
    • NIST, FISMA, and HIPAA
    • Operational Security
    • Systems administration involving Windows and Linux
    • Certification and Accreditation
    • Software development – C++,Linux Shell Scripting, PHP
