C.R. Laurence (CRL) confirmed that a ransomware attack on Oct. 1, 2024, impacted certain areas of its network. According to sources, customers could not order online, and design and estimating services were down. CRL officials say that operations have since been restored.

“CRL became aware of an IT outage on October 1 that impacted the operations of certain systems within our network,” reads a company statement. “After learning of the incident, we immediately took action to contain the outage and began an investigation with the support of external professionals. Our investigation remains ongoing, and we have confirmed that the system outages were caused by a cybersecurity incident involving ransomware. Our operations have been safely restored, and we continue to keep our employees and customers informed of any updates.”
