Exciting news for the Crown Heights community! For the first time ever, Crown Heights will soon have its very own cybersecurity boot camp program with Flatiron and YU Global. This is a huge parnasa opportunity for anyone in the community who is interested in going into tech.

Crown Heights Young Entrepreneurs is bringing to the schuna in partnership with YU Global, a division of Yeshiva University, a 6-month certification focused on cybersecurity. Graduates of this boot camp will earn the skills needed to land a job in cyber with a starting salary of $70,000 a year and have the opportunity to work with the YU Global career center to help locate job opportunities.

“As technology continues to advance, cybersecurity has become a very needed field offering job opportunities for well-trained individuals,” said Rabbi Yehoshua Werde, founder of CHYE. “Now that this cybersecurity boot camp program, offered by Flatiorn in partnership with YU Global, has been made available to the Crown Heights community, more anash will have access to incredible job opportunities in the tech industry.” The certificate is offered in the evenings from 6:00-10:00 pm in Crown Heights at CHYE.

Each YU Global graduate will receive a certificate of completion, making them valuable candidates in the eyes of prospective employers in tech. Additionally, no college degree is required to complete this certificate program.

“In addition to providing the training and the skills required to enter and thrive in tech, YU Global and CHYE will help students, upon completion of the course, with job career services support including resume preparation, interview practice and help identifying and applying for jobs,” said Danielle Wozniak, YU Global’s Vice President for Global Strategy and Development. “Non-degree certificates have gained widespread acceptance in recent years as a means to attain skills quickly. We have partnered with Flatiron to help participants move forward and strengthen your resumé with the skills that employers seek. This course is a marvelous opportunity for anyone with or without a college degree who wants to gain a competitive edge in today’s rapidly changing job market.”
