FREEHOLD, NJ – Admissions at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold were diverted Friday due to a cybersecurity issue, a spokesperson confirmed to Patch.

Admissions were not halted, but instead were placed “on divert” Friday through 9 p.m., the spokesperson said.

NJ.com initially reported that new admissions were halted Friday due to “technical problems related to an IT security issue.”

New Jersey 101.5 additionally reported the FBI and the state Department of Health is aware of the IT issue.

“We are still investigating the issues,” the spokesperson said. “Patient care remains our priority and has not been impacted.”
