Cybersecurity Systems Engineer

L3 Link Simulation and Training is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Expert to provide technical expertise for the design, development, qualification, integration and fielding of compliant systems solutions used in military flight and maintenance training systems.
  • Implement security and anti-tamper controls into Link’s training and simulation solutions
  • Interact with customers to define cybersecurity and anti-tamper requirements, trades, solutions, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness
  • Assist programs and monitor program execution throughout product development lifecycle to ensure cyber and anti-tamper objectives are met
  • Lead, advise, and educate engineers on cybersecurity and anti-tamper concepts and solutions
  • Prepare briefings to obtain approvals by government agencies for contracted efforts




  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field, such as Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Science, or Physics
  • Possess an active clearance
  • Possess the CISSP certification in accordance with Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Certification (8570.01M) (Security+ certification may be considered)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in fields of anti-tamper, black hat, white hat, or reverse engineering computer technology

Additional Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • Have or be capable of obtaining a DoD Top Secret clearance as well as DoD Special Access Program clearance
  • Possess a working knowledge of Information Assurance concepts for communication and data/processing protections and security assurance
  • JSIG/JAFAN implementation experience
  • Proficiency in and knowledge of anti-tamper tools and techniques for verification and protection of CPI per DoDI 5200.39
  • Full lifecycle systems development experience
  • Risk Management experience per DoDI 8510.01
  • Systems Administrator Experience
  • Demonstrated history of hands-on work with teams to implement cybersecurity and information assurance
  • 8+ years of relevant engineering experience
